Project – Alliance Health Services

Alliance Health Services – Youth Center

The Alliance Health Services – Youth Center was created to truly make a difference in the lives of young Memphians. The Health Center allows for the expansion of mental health services for children and youth ages 4 to 17, providing 24/7 crisis assessment and stabilization services for families in crisis. It’s designed for healing, safety and hope.

ABES Contracting was hired by lead contractor Turner Construction to perform the site civil and utility work for the Youth Center. The site includes a 9,600-square-foot building with a parking lot and a recreation area for those being served by the Youth Center.

ABES Contracting self-performed the site clearing, tree removal, demolition of existing concrete, grading for the building pad, grading of the site and parking lot, removal and replacement of unsuitable soils, installation of the storm drainage and sanitary sewer systems and erosion control. Because this is a small site, only 0.95 acres, ABES Contracting had to work closely with the other subs on site to coordinate the work, lay down areas and schedule.

In addition to the work that was self-performed. ABES Contracting also hired and managed subs for the site concrete and asphalt paving.
