Lakeland – FY25 Concrete Project
Each year, the City of Lakeland, TN, budgets funds to make improvements to the City’s sidewalk, curb ramp and curb and gutter systems. Lakeland awarded the contract for the FY 2025 work to ABES Contracting. Most of the work occurred along El Hill Road in the Stonebridge subdivision. Tasks included removing and replacing 2,500 linear feet of curb and gutter, 21 ADA Curb Ramps, 2 Valley Gutters (water tables) and 500 linear feet of sidewalk. The work also included installing some new infrastructure including 130 linear feet of sidewalks and 5 ADA Curb Ramps.
ABES Contracting performed all of the concrete demolition and haul away as well as the site preparation for the concrete work, traffic control and erosion control. Wright Construction worked as a sub under ABES Contracting to perform the concrete work. ABES finished off the work with the earthwork cleanup, sodding and site restoration.
